Gavita SL2 1000e DE Intensity
Gavita SL2 1000e DE Intensity
The Gavita Slim Line 2 (SL2) fixture features the Intensity Optic Reflector, which produces incredibly high light output in a focused area. It’s designed to deliver high uniformity to give your plants ample coverage where they need it. This commercial style fixture features highly efficient passive ballast cooling that helps contribute to long fixture life. Other features include sealed housing with a Gore-Tex ventilation plug, and controllable output up to 1150 W.
The Gavita SL2 also features a dimming knob, so growers can manually adjust the light output to meet plants’ changing needs. The SL2 is equipped with a Repeater Bus interface. This double-port connection enables control of the SL2 with a Gavita EL Controller (sold separately). Connect up to 100 fixtures in a single daisy chain series, up to five daisy chains per EL controller output. A single EL controller output can control up to five 100-fixture daisy chains, giving you room to grow.
The compact complete fixture contains a lamp, Intensity Optic Reflector and horticultural quality ballast in one comprehensive package.
The Intensity Optic Reflector produces incredibly high light output in a focused area. It’s designed to deliver high uniformity to give your plants ample coverage where they need it. This reflector is for Gavita Pro line and is easy to install. Designed for uniformity. Made from MIRO® aluminum.
Reflector dimensions:12 in (length) x 11 in (width) x 4.9 in (height)
The fixtures light source is a Gavita Pro Plus 1000W DE HPS Lamp. This generates 2,100 µmol/s of light and with light maintenance of over 96% per 5000 hours you only need to replace it once a year.
Gavita Pro Plus 1000W EL Double-Ended 400 V lamp is one of the best 1000 watt HPS lamps on the market. Specifically designed for high-frequency electronic ballasts, it has a connection at each side of the lamp, removing the need for a frame wire inside the lamp. For use with Gavita fixtures only.
Slim LineWhen lighting plants, the distance to crop a crucial factor. The right distance gives you the desired light levels and optimal uniformity. In rooms with a low ceiling or retrofits every inch matters. By optimizing the fixture for professional grows, we were able to create a ballast measuring only 7.3 inches high without compromising quality or cooling efficacy.
Manual Dimming KnobThe Gavita SL2 features an easy-to-use dimming knob that allows you to adjust the intensity of your fixture without the need for a Gavita EL Controller (sold separately). Dimmable range allows you to choose from 600 W, 660 W, 750 W, 825 W, 1000 W and 1150 W.
Suitable for Gavita Master ControllersThe e-series ballasts can be remote-controlled by Gavita's Master Controllers. They replace your timers and contactors and put you in full control of your ballasts. You can centrally adjust the output of your ballasts, even with sunrise and sunset settings.
- When your climate control is not able to maintain the optimal temperature your master controller will automatically dim your lights.
- In case of a climate control failure they will switch off your lights, protecting your valuable crop and preventing overheating problems.
High Frequency Electronic BallastThere is no such thing as a universal ballast. You will get the optimal output when you match a lamp and ballast which are designed for each other. Our ballasts are designed to power our horticultural double-ended lamps at exactly the right high frequency and power for optimal and stable output, and long light maintenance. Our ballasts are only suitable for high-frequency HPS lamps as specified in the product manual.
Balanced FixtureThe fixture is balanced, so it can be mounted by just two hanging points. This enables much easier installation by brackets from C-profiles for example.
Soft StartUnlike magnetic ballasts our electronic ballasts never use more power than their specified power during the start-up sequence. Lamps reach their full power much quicker than with a magnetic ballast.
Optimal Thermal ManagementThe SL2 has improved thermal management thanks to its new design. Our ballasts are completely sealed and passively cooled through the extrusion aluminum ballast housing. Our housings provide optimized thermal management, which keeps the electronics much cooler than in die-cast housings. Good thermal management is extremely important for the lifetime and reliability of electronics.
Repeater Bus ConfigurationGavita developed the Repeater Bus interface for fixed installations in professional environments. What sets this interface apart is the double-port connector on the ballast. The active interface repeats the input signal to the output. This setup lets you directly daisy chain 100 fixtures per string, and five strings per controller port, to connect a maximum of 500 fixtures per controller port.
Complete FixtureThe integration of ballast and reflector results in a compact fixture. No external lamp wires results in low EMI, which makes it easier to comply with FCC regulations. All our fixtures are FCC compliant.
No In-rush CurrentThe e-series fixtures are constantly connected to your mains supply, just like a television that is on stand-by. Because of that it never creates a high inrush power when switching on. You can fire-up all your lamps safely.
Status LEDThe Status LED provides information about the operating status of the ballast. It senses connection with the controller, indicates a starting lamp, end of life, over temperature, too high input voltage, too low input voltage and it even has a memory for alarms.
Replaceable ReflectorGavita's bracket is designed to be able to change you reflector quickly. Miro aluminum can not easily be cleaned, and when you clean it, it will never be as good as a new reflector. We recommend to change reflectors every year in a “dirty” environment (dust, foggers, sprays) or every two years in a clean environment.
Gavita Master Controllers
Grow light controllers automate large indoor gardens and commercial greenhouses, by setting the grow lights on specific time intervals. A common complaint of growers is spending too much time in the garden, and grow room light controllers and timers alleviate this issue.
These Gavita fixtures are designed for external control and the new Gavita Pro line e-series are improved models and are suitable for central control with the Gavita Master lighting controller.
