Emerald Gem Organic Melon Seeds – Sweet, Juicy, Heirloom Flavor
Discovered in Benzie County, Michigan and introduced in 1886, Emerald Gem is a time-honored heirloom melon prized for its fragrant, floral aroma and melt-in-your-mouth sweetness. The pastel-orange flesh is refreshingly juicy and tender—perfect for scooping with a spoon like a bowl of sorbet. Fruits ripen from emerald green to a golden yellow-orange hue, growing to about 6" long and weighing around 2 lbs each—just the right size for home gardeners.
Emerald Gem melons thrive in northern climates and clay soils, producing early and vigorous vines. While naturally variable, this strain has been hand-selected for decades for the sweetest fruits. Their flavor rivals the best French cantaloupes—and with proper care, they’ll store in the fridge for weeks.
