Optimizing Dry Bucking:
For dry bucking, careful attention to moisture content is crucial. CenturionPro recommends a moisture level between 12% and 14% for optimal results. Buds should have a "springy" consistency, and stems should be pliable. Slowing the machine speed to 1/2 or 1/3 of the normal speed is advised for dry material to minimize damage. Proper plant preparation, including cutting the main stalk, separating individual stems (no "y" junctions), leaving 3" of stem, and making clean angled cuts, is essential for efficient feeding.
