Spearmint is a low-maintenance, cooling herb known for its bold flavor and versatility. Growing Tips:
- Start indoors: March 15–July 15 at 72–75°F
- Sow on soil surface; do not cover seeds – they need light to germinate
- Mist or bottom water to keep seeds moist
- Germination in 10–14 days
- Transplant outdoors: May 15–August 1, spacing 10–18" apart
- Harvest leaves or stems as needed – cut back to the ground and it regrows!
Note: Spearmint is vigorous and spreads by rhizomes. Plant in containers or areas where it can take over without issue.
