Dry Vs. Wet Trim

Because both dry and wet trimming have their advantages the method chosen ultimately depends on factors unique to the individual such as strain and the quantity of materials being processed. For example, large scale production growers often utilize both methods in order to bring their product to market as quickly as possible. During the drying process the leaves will naturally dry and curl inwards, making them more difficult and time-consuming to remove. Studies have consistently shown that the dry trimming process helps to preserve both terpenes and trichomes in comparison with wet trimming. Another advantage of this method is that scissors and machines won’t need to be cleaned nearly as often in comparison with working with wet materials.
