Amblyseius swirskii are foliage-dwelling predatory mites used to help manage whiteflies, thrips, and broad mites in greenhouses, indoor gardens, and nurseries. They feed on whitefly eggs and young nymphs, as well as young thrips larvae, helping target pests early in their development.

These generalist predators can also feed on pollen, supporting preventative introductions in pollen-bearing crops. Use them for prevention and early intervention as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program.

Choose Your Release Format

• Loose mites: Bottles and bags allow direct distribution onto plant foliage.
• Hook sachets: Hang on established plants for gradual release into the canopy.
• Stick sachets: Position beside smaller plants or plants in propagation that cannot support a hanging sachet.
• No-vermiculite options: Available in selected bottle and bag sizes.

Application & Handling

• Introduce preventatively where suitable food is available, or at the first sign of pest activity.
• Apply promptly after receipt and avoid releasing loose mites during hot, dry conditions.
• Gently rotate loose-mite containers to distribute the contents before sprinkling onto foliage.
• Position sachets near plant stems, keeping the sachets off the soil.
• Follow the instructions supplied with your selected format for release rates, placement, and any temporary storage.
• Monitor pest populations after release to assess whether additional introductions are needed.
