How to Use Down to Earth Neem Seed Meal:

Neem Seed Meal can be applied in several ways, making it adaptable to various gardening needs: 

1. Mixing into Soils or Potting Media:

• Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds:
  • New Gardens: Apply 2.5-5 lbs per 100 sq ft, mix into the top 3 inches of soil.  
  • New Transplants: Add 1-2 tablespoons per planting hole.  
  • Established Plants: Side dress ½ – 1 cup monthly during the growing season.
• Containers:
  • New Plantings: Add ⅛ – ¼ cup per gallon of soil OR 5-10 lbs per cubic yard.  
  • Established Plants: Mix 2-4 tablespoons per gallon into the soil surface monthly.  
• Trees & Shrubs:
  • Spread 1-2 lbs per 1 inch of trunk diameter around the base (out to the drip line), mix into the soil surface.  
  • New Trees: Mix 1-2 cups with backfill soil.  

2. Top Dressing: Sprinkle granules around the base of established plants.

3. Liquid Solution (Neem Tea):

• Steep 2-4 tablespoons per gallon of water for up to 48 hours, agitating periodically.  
• Apply directly to the soil or as a foliar spray (filtered).
• Use the entire solution once prepared.

4. Row Crops/Acreage: Apply 200-400 lbs per acre, incorporating into the soil 2-3 weeks before planting.
