Technical Specifications
Two-Spotted Lady Beetles for Aphid Control
Adalia bipunctata is a beneficial lady beetle whose larvae and adults feed on aphids. Use these predators to target aphid colonies on affected plants, introducing them when aphids first appear.
Choose from eggs or larvae to suit your release plan. Eggs hatch into aphid-feeding larvae, while the larval option provides predators already in their feeding stage. Neither package contains adult beetles.
How to Use
- Identify plants with active aphid colonies before releasing.
- Introduce eggs or larvae close to aphid colonies, following the placement instructions supplied with your selected package.
- Follow the supplier’s directions for release quantities, repeat applications, and handling for your crop and infestation.
- Monitor treated plants to track aphid activity and determine whether additional releases are needed.
Package Options
- AB100: 100 eggs in a 30 mL tube.
- AB100L: 100 larvae in a 280 mL plastic box.
