Beneficial Wasps for Caterpillar and Borer Egg Control
Trichogramma minutum is a tiny parasitic wasp used in biological control programs for caterpillars and moth borers. Females lay their eggs inside host eggs, where the developing wasps consume the contents and prevent those pest eggs from hatching.
Targets the egg stage: Use this beneficial insect to help interrupt the pest life cycle before new larvae begin feeding. It does not directly control caterpillars or borers that have already hatched.
Planning Your Release
Match releases to the target pest's egg-laying period. Follow the instructions supplied with your order for release timing, handling and application rates appropriate to your crop and pest.
