Beneficial Nematodes for Soil-Dwelling Grubs

NEMAforce HB contains Heterorhabditis bacteriophora, beneficial nematodes that actively seek susceptible pests below the soil surface. Use them for biological control of grubs in lawns, gardens, nurseries, and greenhouse growing media.

After entering a suitable host, the nematodes release symbiotic bacteria that kill the insect, then reproduce inside it.

Application Rates for Grubs

• Oriental and Japanese beetle grubs: 25–50 million nematodes per 1,000 sq. ft.
• European chafer grubs: 50–100 million nematodes per 1,000 sq. ft.
• Application water: 1.5–3 gallons per 1,000 sq. ft.

Application and Storage

• Keep soil at 59–86°F during application and for at least two weeks afterward.
• Apply to moist soil out of direct sunlight. Maintain soil moisture for at least two weeks.
• Mix with cool, clean water and maintain agitation throughout application.
• Water in immediately after application with approximately 1/8 inch of irrigation.
• Use the entire tray immediately after opening.
• Use promptly upon arrival or refrigerate at approximately 40°F with airflow around trays. Do not freeze or use past expiration.
