Beneficial Nematodes for Black Vine Weevil Larvae

NEMAforce SK contains Steinernema kraussei, beneficial nematodes that actively seek out black vine weevil larvae below the soil or growing media surface. Use them for biological pest control in ornamentals, soft fruits, and tree and shrub nursery crops.

These nematodes work in soil temperatures as low as 41°F, making them useful for cool-season applications when larvae are present.

Application and Handling

• Apply to moist soil or growing media. The optimal soil temperature range is 41–86°F (5–30°C).
• Mix with cool, clean water and apply immediately, keeping the solution agitated throughout application.
• Keep the mixing tank out of direct sunlight.
• Water the nematodes into the growing media after application. Rinse any solution off foliage without causing runoff from pot tops.
• Use the entire tray immediately after opening; do not divide it for later use.

Follow the instructions supplied with the product for application rates, dilution, equipment preparation, and irrigation.

Storage

Use promptly after arrival or refrigerate according to the package instructions. Allow air circulation around the tray, do not freeze, and use before the expiration date.
